Greetings!
I am in a season of believing. I can feel it. I can feel God strengthening my faith in ways that I never thought possible. Not because there is anything dramatic happening in my life, it is just the wonder of God’s love toward us. I posted last week about putting God back in His proper place—in the center of everything.
When we put God at the center—He responds. You know how people say that sometimes God will answer with a “yes,” a “no,” or a “maybe?” I believe that when you pray according to scripture…according to His promise...He will always say “YES!”
The Bible says, “You ask and receive not because you pray amiss.” That is from the Book of James 4:3. Some things can hinder our prayers. Things like…
Doubting that Jesus went to the cross
Doubting that He now sits on the right hand of The Father
Doubting that God loves us with an everlasting love
Doubting that His desire is to bless us
If we doubt those things, then our prayers will not be answered. But, when we believe…the word says that nothing will be impossible for us…that is having a mustard seed kind of faith (Matthew 17:20). The thing is that God may not answer the way we want. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). His love for us is so amazing that our minds cannot comprehend it. Sometimes His love is so all consuming that it overwhelms us. We are not used to letting someone else lead—even God. We will not understand everything God allows, but we can trust that He is working it out for our good, and we can trust that our lives will bring God glory.
Until next time...
Be blessed
