Greetings!

“…just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” --Romans 6:4

This week, we honor the walk Jesus made to the cross.  This time of year always makes me think of the sacrifice our Lord made.

God loved us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the cross—for us. He didn’t have to do that, but He loved us so much that He couldn’t bear being separated from us, and because He couldn’t look on our sin, He had to remove it by providing the perfect sacrifice. How awesome is our God? It is so amazing to me that the Creator who created it all…thought enough of us to do that. The word says, "The Lord called me before my birth. From within the womb he called me by my name...He said to me, `You are my servant'..." (Isaiah 49:1, 3 TLB). I thank God that He called me by name...that He called us by name. What He did gave us another chance to get it right.

God called us into being because He has a plan for each one of us, and He has given us all unique gifts that only we can do. God has anointed us and called us into service. He is calling us to represent Him in the earth. In Psalm 139:13 it says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.” We were always on His mind…even before we were born. If He could do that for us…what is it that we can’t do for Him?

I challenge you today to live the best life you have ever lived…for the God who lives in you. Whatever God is calling you to…don’t stop until you do it. Know that if you stay open to God, He will accomplish great things in and through you.

Until next time…

Be blessed.

Greetings!
“For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.” –Psalm 33:9 (NIV)
This is the week that Christians remember the sacrifice God made for us when He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to the cross as atonement for our sins. There is no greater love than that. God placed our anchor scripture on my heart because He wanted me to remind His children that they are strong, powerful, and bold witnesses for Him. When we honor God with our living, He responds by blessing our efforts.

Our God can do anything. The scripture says that all He needs to do is “speak” and it will come to pass. That’s why it is impossible for God to tell a lie. He is the Word, so if it isn’t so…when He speaks it, He makes it so. I love that. It means that we can trust His word. Everything it says is true. That is powerful…because God has given believers the authority to speak His word. Luke 10:19 says, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” When you stand on the word of God, you stand on the promise that God will do what He says.

Until next time…

Be blessed

Greetings!
“And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.” -- Luke 24:53 (NIV)

This past weekend, the women of Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church’s Women’s Ministry had a shut-in. For those of you who may have never been to a shut-in, it is when you spend the night shut-in or locked in the church just praying, praising, and worshipping the Lord. It was awesome!

The evening started out with every woman reading or reciting her favorite scripture. Then we lifted up the name of God in song. Praise and worship is one of my favorite things. Don’t get me wrong, I love the word, but it’s something about letting yourself go during praise and worship that releases something in your spirit that allows your soul to breathe.

There were four of us that spoke on various topics. The awesome thing is that because we were all in fasting and prayer all week, God spoke, and we all were on one accord. I love when that happens. You could feel God’s presence in that place, and I know that sanctuary won’t be the same this week. Praise God!

I left there knowing that God was going to move in my life in a new way. He has been speaking things into my spirit lately, and I haven’t really taken time to listen. This experience just reminded me how much I needed to get away with Him more, and let Him minister to my spirit. I know there are specific things He has set in place for my life, and I have to be able to hear Him clearly.

So, my goal this week is to put things in my life back in the correct order. I know that if I am going to be able to live a well-balanced life, I will have to spend time with God, and when I put Him first, He will put everything else in order.

Until next time…

Be blessed!

Greetings!

"And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." --John 6:35

When we come to Christ, we come hungry…looking for something that is going to sustain us and nourish us. This scripture says that when you give your life to Him—you will never be disappointed. The Lord provides for all of our needs…physically and spiritually. He has given us all that we will ever need to live a life that is sold out to Him. The cool thing is that the food He gives we don’t have to have a discount card, or a membership to get it…all we need to do is ask, and it will never run out.

His love for us is so all-encompassing that it is hard to breathe without remembering the sacrifice He made, and I live my life hoping that I can in some small way honor that sacrifice. I want God to be able to trust me to do whatever He calls me to do. I know sometimes I fall short, we all do at times but, the awesome thing about God is that He forgives us…as many times as it takes to get us back in right relationship with Him. He never holds our shortcomings against us, and instead uses it to bless us…

So, in this season leading up to Resurrection Sunday, focus on all that Jesus has done and continues to do for us. Remember the true depth of His love, and let it lead you to do better than you’ve ever done, and to be better than you’ve ever been.

Until next time…

Be blessed!

Greetings!

The past few months have been really challenging...for me and for my family. I have had to hold on to the Lord like never before. And, it's not just my natural family that seems to be going through...it's also my brothers and sisters in Christ. Everyone that I've spoken to recently have been asking for prayer for challenges at work, school, family, illness...and even death. But, I just feel in my spirit that this is the year for growth. That all those things that we have been going through is growing us to a new level of faith in God. I have had to dig deeper than I ever have before, and He is showing me things He has never shown me before. I know that He is taking me to a new level in Him, and it scares me a little. But our Father is so awesome. No matter what happens, He promises to never leave us...not for anything. We can trust that. He will always keep His promise.

God's word in Romans 8:37-39 says, "No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." This is one of my favorite scriptures. This one says that because of the sacrifice Jesus made at the cross on our behalf...we are assured the victory in every situation. He laid down His life so that we could surrender ours...

Today, I just wanted to let you know that the battle you are going through is not your end. Don't give up...keep holding onto God's unchanging hand. He has a purpose and a plan for everything that happens in your life and in the lives of those you care about. If you put your trust in Him, and hold on...He will show you some miraculous things.

Keep looking up...then just throw your hands up in the air and throw your head back and begin to praise Him for the victory that is on the way!

Until next time...

Be blessed!
