Be steadfast

Greetings!

There is a shifting that is going on right now, and I believe it is because God is about to make some changes in the lives of His people. This is not the time to shrink back or give in...we have to be able to give an account of why we believe what we believe, and we have to know that it is going to be different than a lot of folks. But if we stand on the word of God, the word will do the work. We just have to believe that no matter what it may look like all around us...our God is still in control.

It seems like this season has been a rough one for a lot of us, but it's not like we haven't been through rough seasons before. Many of us have been through more than we care to think about. I know that for me, the only thing that has kept me from losing it completely is knowing that God loves me and that everything I have gone through He is working out for my good.

God has a plan to prosper His children and that makes me hopeful. I know that if I keep trusting in Him, if I remain steadfast...He is going to honor that faith. In James 1:12 it says, "Blessed is the man who stays steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him." Don't let anything make you doubt that. Our God is faithful to His word. If He promised it, He has to do it, because He cannot lie.

"I will trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not unto my own understanding. In all my ways I will acknowledge Him and He will direct my path" (Prov. 3:5-6).

Until next time...

Be blessed

Spring

Greetings!

Spring is in the air...finally!

Although we haven't had much of a winter compared to other parts of the country. What we have had has been more than enough for me...

But spring is finally here. This is one of my favorite times of the year...not only was I born in the spring, but it is also a time of refreshing. A time when all the old "stuffy" stuff is being transformed and renewed. I like that. I like being able to start over, and I like the fact that God built in a do-over for us. He knew we were going to need it. Paraphrasing what the Apostle Paul said...we want to do right, but it's just not in us. We keep doing the thing we don't want to do.

Then along came grace. God's grace is sufficient for us. His grace covers all the wrongs we do and even the ones we haven't done, but we have surely thought about. God's grace says, "I understand you better than you know, and I will keep working in you until you get it right.

In the midst of all of life's little ups and downs, is God's perfect grace...just waiting for the opportunity to show up. His grace molds us and shapes us and transforms us. We can no longer do the things we used to do...and guess what...we don't even want to. We have been changed...renewed...just like spring.

Now it's time to clear out the old and get ready for the new...

Until next time...

Be blessed

Know Your Worth

Greetings!

If you have been following me for any length of time you know that I like to share what I learn from God through others, and what He says directly to me. Today God has placed it in my spirit to talk to you about how we look at ourselves.

I think many of us probably feel some kind of way about how we see ourselves in comparison to others. No matter how many people tell us not to do that--we seem to find ourselves doing it anyway. I think it is human nature to want to be better. Even when we "got it all together" and we believe that God couldn't possibly have done it any better...there is that little nagging thing that says something is missing.

Well, today I want to try to lay that to rest. In James 1:4 it says, "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." That means that when we live in Christ, we are whole and complete with nothing missing. We were not meant to be like anyone else. Comparing ourselves to others is a slap in the face to God. He made us uniquely His own, and we are perfect in His sight. He needs us to be the way He made us so that we "fit" together perfectly.

What I mean by that is this...the Bible says that we are all one body with many parts (1 Corinthians 12), so if we are trying to be like somebody else, then something somewhere is going to be missing...lacking, and that is not of God, so it is not for us. God needs us to be who He made us to be so that everything works the way it is supposed to work. When we do that, we are powerful beyond belief.

Until next time...

Be blessed

It's in your DNA...

Greetings!

I am feeling so grateful today. I mean, I'm grateful every day, but God has placed a special anointing on this day. You know that song that says, "I can feel it in the atmosphere...the Spirit of the Lord is here." I feel it and His spirit is all over me. Days like today can cause you to believe the impossible is possible.

My life right now feels cloudy, but I know the Son is shining so I know without a doubt that everything will work itself out. I am just believing that because God is in control I have the victory and so does my family and everyone attached to me. God is in His holy place and nothing is being withheld from me, so I believe that I can ask anything in Jesus' name and He will do it, because that's what His word says in John 14:14.

My purpose today is just to remind you that you are where you are supposed to be. God is working on your behalf and He has not forgotten the promises He made. Know that it will get better, and everything you have been going through is just strengthening you for His purpose. I believe every prayer you have prayed has been heard. I believe that every obstacle you have been given and every tear that you have cried is building your faith.

Don't keep looking at what should have been. God has a new thing for you and nothing and no one can stop what God has started. You were born to be victorious. It's in your DNA....now start living like it.

Until next time...

Be blessed
