Greetings!
If you have been following me for any length of time you know that I like to share what I learn from God through others, and what He says directly to me. Today God has placed it in my spirit to talk to you about how we look at ourselves.
I think many of us probably feel some kind of way about how we see ourselves in comparison to others. No matter how many people tell us not to do that--we seem to find ourselves doing it anyway. I think it is human nature to want to be better. Even when we "got it all together" and we believe that God couldn't possibly have done it any better...there is that little nagging thing that says something is missing.
Well, today I want to try to lay that to rest. In James 1:4 it says, "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." That means that when we live in Christ, we are whole and complete with nothing missing. We were not meant to be like anyone else. Comparing ourselves to others is a slap in the face to God. He made us uniquely His own, and we are perfect in His sight. He needs us to be the way He made us so that we "fit" together perfectly.
What I mean by that is this...the Bible says that we are all one body with many parts (1 Corinthians 12), so if we are trying to be like somebody else, then something somewhere is going to be missing...lacking, and that is not of God, so it is not for us. God needs us to be who He made us to be so that everything works the way it is supposed to work. When we do that, we are powerful beyond belief.
Until next time...
Be blessed
