Greetings!
Yesterday, I took part in a service at my church for ministry workers. It is just something about being in the house of the Lord that just does it for me. I love worship. I love to praise. I love God’s word…I just love the atmosphere. But, yesterday…I was not looking forward to going back to church. Not because I didn’t think the service was going to be good, but because I was just tired from too much day, and not enough sleep the night before.
I find myself doing that a lot lately. I stay up way too late, and then get up way too early. My pastor tried to warn us at the beginning of the year to rest up, because we were going to be busy. You would think that common sense would tell me to go to bed earlier, right…NOT. I tried to blame it on the enemy…because his mission is to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10), but I couldn’t even blame it on him. Oh, I tried…believe me, but THIS—is all me.
God gave me a good brain, but I am not using it the way He intended. The enemy takes advantage of our weaknesses. We have to make sure that we are diligent about staying in God’s word, getting enough rest, and surrounding ourselves with people who speak life into our lives. I am so glad that we serve a God of second chances. He keeps me (us) through all of our “craziness.” Not only does He keep us through all of our stuff…He works it all out for our good.
Ok…got to go. I’m already past my bedtime.
Pray for me…sigh.
Until next time…
Be blessed
