Cast Your Care

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. –1 Peter 5:7
I heard a teaching on this recently, and what the preacher said was that we needed to cast our care because it really doesn’t make sense to worry about it. He said he doesn’t even tell people to “take care” because we shouldn’t be taking care, we should be casting our caresHere’s the thing…in order to cast your care though you have to believe that God can handle it.
I thought that was good, because I never thought about it like that before…we should be aware of the things we speak out of our mouths. It may seem like a little thing, but everything matters. The things we speak, the way we live, even how we praise and worship. I shouldn’t be so concerned with what you think of me that I can’t  throw up my hands in the supermarket, or run around the church a couple of times when the spirit hits me and even when it doesn’t...do it because it just feels good sometimes to let it go.
Casting your care means you are not going to be bound by people, or situations, or circumstances. It says that this thing that is happening to me is not bigger than my God. It says that I am going to stand on His promises because He has never lied to me…I can trust that if He says it….He will bring is to pass. And even if He doesn’t make it happen, then I trust that it wasn’t what He wanted for me. Our time is not like God’s time, and we can’t get frustrated and give up because it’s not happening as fast or in the way we would like. The song says, God never fails....and you know what...He never will.
Until next time...
Be blessed
