We Will Not Let Hate Win!

Greetings!

My post this week is all about spreading the love of God. I want to give light to the good part of us. There is so much emphasis being placed on the negative things that are going on right now that I just needed to remind myself of who I am and what I can do in my little corner of the world. Hopefully, it will also bless you in the process...

Don't get me wrong...I am not pretending that evil is not prevalent in our world right now...it definitely is. But I just believe it is more important that we don't give hate a platform. I believe there are some things we should hate. We should hate racism, discrimination, and abuse in any form. But we should not hate the person...we should hate the spirit of hate that is operating in our land right now. And the only way to defeat the enemy is to do it through the word of God. We have to know what the word says about us, about God and about the enemy. That's how we defeat the enemy. But first before we do anything else...we have to put God back in His rightful place.

God is our weapon against the enemy. I know it doesn't seem like it, but there are more of us than there are of them, it just seems like they have a louder voice. We can't be passive about this thing. We have to love people hard. We have to show them that there is a better way. The Bible says in 1 John 4:4 that He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. Don't let the actions of a few lost souls make you think otherwise.

God says that we are overcomers...actually it says that we are more than conquerors...that we are victorious in Christ. There are three things we can do...

1. Start living like we believe it by walking in the authority that we have been given.
2. Start taking back territory for Christ by not being easily offended.
4. Start sharing the love of Christ with everyone.

I know that those things sounds simple, but that is how we make our mark on the world. The word says that we are to overcome evil with good (Rom. 12:21). The most powerful thing we can do is to pray mightily for those who hate us and remind ourselves daily that God is in control.

Until next time...

Be blessed
