Resurrected

Greetings!

This is the beginning of what Christians call "Holy Week." In this week, we celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

Typically, during this week, we set aside special time to be with the Lord. He has done so much for us, the least we can do is spend some time talking with Him, and just allowing Him to minister to our spirits. We need that time with Him. It helps us to stay focused.

I am a published author and inspirational speaker. Every time I say that I want to shout, because I know that if it had not been for the Lord--none of it would be so. God brought to life a dream I had as a child. He knew exactly when to bring that gift out of me. I didn't even know it was a gift...it was just something I did for fun. God let me see that everything about me was planned and that He had not forgotten what He spoke into my spirit a long time ago. God gave me that dream, but I had to learn that it was not about me...it was actually for Him.

My book, Let My Life Be A Testimony, was published in 2008, and that's where it stayed...in 2008. Other than a book signing at my church, I basically did nothing with it. Then, eight years later when I had pretty much gotten over the idea of giving up my day job and being a writer, God resurrected that dream. He began to put people in my life that encouraged and motivated me to keep going. He began opening doors and providing resources...seemingly out of nowhere. God is so strategic. Everything He does has a purpose in His plan for us. I have a journal coming out in a few weeks and it's all because I submitted my dream to the Lord, and allowed Him to take control. Nothing is too hard for God. If He could bring Lazarus from the grave...He can surely resurrect a dream or two.

Don't give up on your dream, and don't let anyone else cause you to doubt what God has spoken to you. The Bible says that our gifts will make room for us and bring us before great men. I am a believer.

Until next time...

Be blessed
